In this tutorial, we will show you how to connect remotely to the KUKA KRC4 smartpad using RDP (Remote Desktop Protocol), with UltraVNC as an alternative to KUKA Virtual Remote Pendant. In the other half, we will show how to share local directories such as folders and hard drives through the network.
This way you won't need to use a USB.
With RDP, users can remotely access and control another computer's desktop, applications, files, and network resources. The protocol transmits screen updates, keyboard, and mouse inputs between the local and remote systems, allowing seamless interaction and real-time collaboration.
RDP operates on TCP/IP (Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol) and typically uses port 3389 for communication. It provides secure communication by encrypting the data transmitted between the client and the remote server, ensuring confidentiality and preventing unauthorized access to the remote system.
